What breed of cat doesn't have hunting instinct when outdoors.?
I am wondering what kind of cat breed shows no interest in killing wildlife or wandering away from a fenced in yard. I would love to have a cat that doesn't jump the fence and is content just hanging out in my yard with my dog and me when I'm working in my garden,
I was thinking of adopting a Rag-doll cat from Petfinder.com. Does anyone know if these cats hunt prey or have any suggestions of what would be the best breed? It would be hard to keep a cat indoors since we have a doggie door.
I think every cat has natural instincts but your right some use them more than others. You are along the right path with a rag doll or persian these breeds tend to be lazy so they will be easier to keep an eye on. Although siamese are incredibly intelligent (we have one ourselves) and you are almost guarnteed not for one to run away they are also very attention seeking so they will enjoy being arond you. Ours does not take much of an interest in hunting but it really depends on the cat. my advice is to visit the breeder before you buy one and pick one which appears to have the attitude you want. good luck.

Hi, I am trying to buy my little niece a present for her Birthday and frankly, I don't know what to get her. I saw these little fuzzy figurines at a toy store the other day, and stupidly I didn't find out what they are called. I guess you can get all sorts if them, like chipmunks, bears, rabbits, cats, dogs and even like doll houses for them. I guess they could be considered dolls...but still I need to know what they are called.
